What is TubeChef?

Plans and billing

Is there a free plan?
No. TubeChef has paid plans only.

How much does TubeChef cost?
See the current plans in the pricing section. Plans are monthly subscriptions with a set number of credits, and higher plans include more credits. Which plans make finished videos? Basic and Pro both generate scripts, voiceovers and images (they differ in monthly credits) but don't render finished videos; rendering is VIP and Lifetime only.

Can I cancel anytime?
The pricing section says "Cancel anytime, no long-term commitment."

Does TubeChef offer refunds?
The refund policy describes a money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. Credits already used aren't refundable. Read the policy for the full terms.

How long can TubeChef videos be?
Up to 2 hours.

What languages does TubeChef support?

Does TubeChef make thumbnails?
No. TubeChef doesn't have a thumbnail generator. Use a design tool for thumbnails.

What resolution and format do videos export in?
MP4 (H.264), at 1080p or 1440p. 4K is listed as coming soon in the dashboard.

Does TubeChef have AI avatars?
No. TubeChef focuses on faceless, narration-led videos.

Desktop / CLI rendering

What is the TubeChef desktop/CLI app?
TubeChef renders videos on your own computer, not in the cloud. There are two ways to do it: TubeChef Desktop, an app with Create, Render, Library, Channels, Ripper and Scheduled Runs sections, and the TubeChef CLI for the command line. The CLI downloads from your dashboard. See bulk rendering.

Which plans include it?
The VIP and Lifetime plans. Basic and Pro don't include rendering, so they don't produce a finished video, but both generate scripts, voiceovers and images. See pricing.

What hardware do I need?
A Mac with Apple Silicon, or a Windows x64 PC with an NVIDIA GPU (RTX recommended; pre-Turing cards such as the GTX 1060 aren't supported). The CLI page lists at least an Intel i5 9th gen and 8 GB RAM on Windows. Intel Macs and Linux aren't supported.

Is there cloud rendering?
No. Rendering runs locally on your computer.

Using AI content on YouTube

Can I monetize videos made with TubeChef?
YouTube allows AI-assisted content. It doesn't monetize content that's mass-produced, repetitive or reused, and it requires disclosure of realistic synthetic content. Monetization depends on your channel meeting YouTube's rules, not on the tool. See Is AI content allowed on YouTube?
